“TRUST in the Lord with all your heart; DO NOT DEPEND on your own understanding.  SEEK His will in ALL you do, and HE will SHOW you which path to take.” Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT [Emphasis mine]

Happy New Year!  In the midst of all chaos and disorder in this world, we can shout HALLELUJAH!  This is because we know that GOD DOES NOT CHANGE.  Therefore, no matter what happens in this world, He is for us and not against us!  As 2 Peter 2:3, 4 NKJV says; “As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”  God loves us and He has made it possible for us to live in victory in the midst of chaos and disorder in the world.  So as the year begins, CHEER UP! God’s great and precious promises are just for you!

Our opening verses (Proverbs 3:5-6) are very significant as we go forward in 2022.

More than ever before, TRUSTING THE LORD is key for us to walking in victory.   Spirit-led decisions are so critical that we must hear the voice of God in whatever we do.  We must rely on the Holy Spirit even in things that we are familiar with for a ―”NOW” instruction from the Lord.

I do believe that this is an attitude that we ought to have as we start our 21 Days Daniel Fast, but also we should carry the same throughout the year – SEEKING HIS WILL IN ALL WE DO.

This year, the Prayer Guide looks a little bit different, because I want to include a portion of the letter that Pastor Carla sent to us just before Christmas 2021.  Here it is:

As I look at the days that lie before us in 2022, I’ve been made aware that we will face a number of challenges in this coming year. But I have prayed for you, that each of us would be renewed in strength and determination to serve God at all times and with fervent love! Be faithful in your service to the Lord.  Matthew 24:12 NIV says, “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love (agape) of most will grow cold.” We are witnessing this in our day. This means that people will become very selfish, hateful, disrespectful, and mean spirited. The word for “love” in this Scripture is AGAPE.  Agape is the love of God that He gives to the believer when we’re born again.  It is God’s very own love!  Let us as the congregation of Victory Faith Church make a very strong commitment to God and to each other that our Agape will not grow cold! No matter what happens in 2022, we will love God more than ever before, and we will demonstrate that love to others. Love for God and love for others is very critical in the times in which we are living.  Yes, challenges will come in 2022, but I pray that we all acknowledge God in the midst of whatever is happening.  Let us commit to lift up the name of Jesus in all circumstances. “God will be faithful to us throughout 2022.” I also sense that in spite of the shakings we have experienced, we are to ask the Lord to position us for His blessingsHebrews 12:25-29 in The Passion Translation is very important for us in the coming year.  I want to emphasize V.28 as being very important for 2022: “Since we are receiving our rights to an unshakeable kingdom we should be EXTREMELY THANKFUL and offer God the purest worship that delights His heart as we lay down our lives in absolute surrender, filled with awe.”

One of the primary things I sense we’re to do in 2022 is be strengthened in our thanksgiving to God. Offering THANKSGIVING and GRATITUDE to Him daily is a key to our victories in the coming year.

Shakings will continue in 2022, but in the Kingdom of God, every provision is available to us.

Spiritual provision, physical provision, financial provision — it’s always available to us. Don’t fear, don’t worry — but offer THANKSGIVING to the One who tells us “Be anxious for nothing…” He also says, “In everything give thanks…” Psalm 37:19 TPT[Paraphrased] says, “Even in a time of disaster, I will watch over you, and you will ALWAYS have more than enough NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS.” This is a very great promise made to the saints when nations are in turmoil.

Please offer prayers with me, asking the Lord to position us to experience His goodness — and in greater measures than we’ve ever known before.  Philippians 4:19 AMP says, “And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” God promises that He will provide for us no matter what is happening in the world. We are citizens of the Heavenly Kingdom where there is no lack, no shortage and no inflation.

Let’s make a commitment not to forget that God is the strength of all of our days — we trust in Him while the world is being shaken.

My prayer is for each one of you to be filled with faith, hope and love in 2022.  May the Spirit of God bless you and bless your households with great peace and prosperity.  May the spirit of thankfulness fill your hearts every single day.  In any and all circumstances, remember to express thankfulness to God for His goodness to us.  I know the Father wants to position all of us for greater blessings than we’ve known before.

Let me close by saying that the Father will never allow the devil to outshine Him!!  Pray for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit in all the nations, including Kenya, and for a great awakening to God. There is a final harvest the Father wants to reap, and it is going to be so powerful that multitudes — millions and millions of souls — will be swept into God’s kingdom. Hallelujah! All of us in Living Faith International and Victory Faith Church want to be part of this great move of God through our prayers, faith, labor, and giving in 2022.  What the enemy has meant for evil, destruction, and discouragement, God will turn for GOOD.  The devil’s gone too far this time — and God’s people are rising up to glorify His name!

May Victory Faith Church be at the forefront of a great move of God in Kenya! And may the Lord bless you with much strength and energy to win many battles in 2022.

You can tell from Pastor Carla’s letter that there are several prayer targets that we need to corporately lift to the Lord during this fast.

THANKING GOD FOR HIS GOODNESS & MERCIES

Father, I thank You for the privilege of belonging to You through Your Son Jesus Christ.  I thank You that the blood of our Saviour Jesus Christ has made it possible for me to be forgiven of all my sins and be cleansed from all unrighteousness.  I thank You that I can boldly come to the throne of grace that I may obtain mercy and grace to help me in time of need.  I choose to give thanks to You in everything as You lead me in victory in this year 2022.  Thank You for all Your plans and purposes in my life.

I give thanks to You for You are good and Your mercy endures forever in Jesus’ name, Amen!

PRAYING FOR VFC & THE UNIVERSAL BODY OF CHRIST

I ask You the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that You may give to us the Body of Christ, the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You.  And that we may be rooted and grounded in love, that we may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height, to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that we may be filled with the fullness of God.  May this year be marked by the outpourings of the Holy Spirit with You Lord confirming the Word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

PRAYING FOR ISRAEL & KENYA

Father, in the name of Jesus we pray for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Jews and all the nations, and for a great awakening to You. We believe You for the multitudes — millions and millions of souls — to be swept into Your Kingdom.  All of us in Living Faith International and Victory Faith Church want to be part of this great move through our prayers, faith, labor, and giving. We are believing You to turn for good what the enemy has meant for evil, destruction, and discouragement. We ask You to help believers in Christ in every nation to rise up and glorify Your name!

May we in Victory Faith Church be at the forefront of a great move of God in Kenya!  We ask You to bless us with much strength and energy to win many battles in 2022.

We pray for the peace of Jerusalem.  May there be a removal of a spirit of stupor upon the Jewish people, that they may see and hear Your voice, the God of Abraham through Your Son Jesus Christ.

For of You and through You, and to You are all things, to You be glory forever. Amen
